The NFC East, crown jewel of the NFL, whose teams have appeared in the most Super Bowls, won the most Super Bowls – and may still be the toughest division to boot. It is also home to two of the most ego-maniacal owners in all sports – which begs the question, can talented players co-exist with dysfunctional organizations?

Needless to say, there are at least two coaches that feel like their boxers have been sprayed with coach’s liniment – click the link below to continue this fascinating journey . . .

Has the “Shanahan Sweepstakes” already started?  How about the “Cowher Competition”?  “Holmgren Honors” – all right, I agree – enough is enough!  Danny-Boy has already brought the dreaded “consultant” on board and Cuzzin Jerruh can’t decide if his hand-picked “HC in waiting” can even coordinate an offense.  Makes you wonder if life is truly simpler in Philly or New York – let’s analyze further:

4)    Andy Reid, Philadelphia Eagles – With the personal difficulties that Andy has experienced in his family life, it is a testament to his intestinal fortitude that he would bring Vick onto his team.  While many believed he would say “adios” to the NFL, negotiations for a contract extension are underway.

3)    Tom Coughlin, New York Giants – “Kinder, Gentler” Tom set his watch back 5 minutes and won over a locker room two years ago on his way to a Super Bowl upset of the then undefeated Patriots.  You could flip a coin on Reid and Coughlin; however, the New York media can topple even the best of “blue-collared attitude” teams.

2)    Wade Phillips, Dallas Cowboys – Ah, the old Son of a Bum as a head coach makes an OK defensive coordinator.  There’s a reason Phillips has never won a playoff game – discipline, or lack thereof!  Jones has assembled talent on the Cowboys roster – it takes a pretty sorry head coach to make Cuzzin Jerruh look halfway decent as a GM.  The picture to the right states the expectations of Jerry Jones — anything less will result in a change at Big D!

1)    Jim Zorn, Washington Redskins – Left-handed QB’s cannot coach for Dan Snyder – but then again, neither can Hall of Fame coaches!  Do you ever wonder about the results of Snyder’s fantasy football team?  (Hint: they currently have a 2-3 record and have only scored 73 points.)

Agree or disagree?  Next we go to the “Black and Blue” Norse division, home of the frozen tundra, windy city, Motown and the land of lakes – button up your overcoat and pay attention to me!
